2013 December
Incorporated as Specialty Bakery LLC
A group of former colleagues in the wholesale bakery products business get together to form a fresh, intelligent bakery food products manufacturer — built from scratch to transform a stale industry.
2013 December
First Customer Contract Signed
With a major Foodservice QSR brand as the anchor customer, the bakery — not yet built — is engaged to manufacture proof & bake bread dough, cookie dough, and sandwich flatbreads.
2014 January
Greenfield Construction Begins
Construction begins on one of the largest and most technologically advanced European-style private label bakeries in the USA.
2014 November
Bakery Construction Complete
The team cuts the ribbon on a state-of-the-art automated bakery, boasting 225,000 SF.
2015 February
First Shipment of Proof & Bake Breads
The first shipment of wholesale bakery products leaves the bakery.
2015 March
First Shipment of Frozen Cookie Dough
The first shipment of bulk frozen cookie dough leaves the bakery, ready to bake in our customers’ onsite ovens.
2015 June
First Shipment of Flatbreads
The first shipment of sandwich flatbreads leaves the bakery.
2016 July
A New Name for a Bright Future
To represent the team’s focus on “Excellence at Every Touchpoint,” the company name is changed to
CraftMark Bakery, LLC.
2017 February
Our 2nd Specialty Bread Manufacturing Line Starts Shipping
We double our capacity to manufacture frozen bread dough due to increased customer demand.
2018 June
Expansion of the Bakery Completed
Our contract manufacturer bakery grows in size and staff, adding 120,000 SF.
2019 January
First Shipment of Pre-Deposited Muffin Batters (PDM)
The successful debut of our pre-deposited muffin manufacturing line with 3 topping / filling stations.
2019 August
Our 2nd Cookie Dough Line Starts Shipping
Major cookie dough supplier status is unlocked as our second manufacturing line goes live.
2020 January
First Shipment of Fully Baked Cookies
We satisfy our customers’ needs for frozen, pre-baked, individually-wrapped cookies.
2021 March
Our Frozen Cookie Dough Pilot Line is up and running
Our position as a preferred private label frozen cookie dough manufacturer is confirmed with our new Pilot Line.
2021 June
Bagel Dots and Stuffed Treats Acquired
Seeing the growth of breakfast and all-day-snacking, CraftMark acquires Bagel Dots and their sweet and savory stuffed treats platform.
2022 Now

With 8 production lines, 6 proven product platforms, and 345,000 SF of baked goods manufacturing space, CraftMark Bakery is prepared for additional growth.

After many years in the wholesale bakery products business, the experts who built CraftMark Bakery had a vision to completely redefine an entire industry. They were convinced there could be a fresh new approach to private label manufacturing that — with the right expertise and modern technology — could solve widespread quality, consistency, and speed-to-market issues within the commercial baked goods industry.
Building a new, highly automated commercial bakery and filling it with the most advanced bakery technology available was the easy part.
Assembling the right team of people — now this is where things got interesting.
They knew that to transform an industry, it would take not only incredible expertise, but a complete turnaround in outlook and attitude.
One insight the team grasped was that large commercial bakeries often lacked a degree of flexibility and transparency that customers were looking for, while smaller upstart bakeries — many with modern facilities — lacked what it takes to invest in building new manufacturing lines to produce at large scale. CraftMark, by contrast, was made to be leaner, more responsive, and more nimble by design, while still having the high-volume, high-speed production capacity to take on the biggest projects.
CraftMark Bakery would be a new kind of bakery food products manufacturer, one based on customer engagement, collaboration, transparency, and — perhaps most challenging of all — flexibility.
Above all, customers needed new levels of speed, agility and rapid product development to stay competitive, and only a new type of bakery culture would be able to deliver.

The American Bakers Association (ABA) has just honored CraftMark Bakery with its Safety Recognition Program, highlighting CraftMark’s excellence in workplace safety programs for bakery food products manufacturers.
